ADHD is the most diagnosed psychiatric condition of young people in America. At some point between the ages of 4 and 17, it affects 11 % of them. A decrease in symptoms at puberty is common for boys. Girls are harder to diagnose as their symptoms often intensify as estrogen increases in their system. Lack of treatment may lead to anxiety or depression.
